Four suspects broke open some display cases and took jewelry from a business at the Puente Hills Mall in Industry, authorities said Sunday.
The smash-and-grab robbery occurred at about 4 p.m. Saturday inside the mall at 1600 S. Azusa Ave. at Daniel’s Jewelers, according to a watch sergeant at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Industry station.
The robbers wore black-hooded sweatshirts and all-black clothing and used a hammer to shatter the display glass, according to multiple media reports. They could be seen running through the mall as onlookers stood by in footage shown on the news.
The sheriff’s Industry station urged anyone with information about the robbery to call them at 626-330-3322 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
