Westminster police Thursday sought the public’s help in tracking down a man accused of fatally stabbing a transient at a gas station.
Police were looking for suspect Trent William Millsap, 27, in connection with the killing of 37-year-old Robert East Wednesday, according to Sgt. Eddie Esqueda of the Westminster Police Department.
Police were called at 5:51 p.m. Wednesday to the 76 station at 6322 Westminster Blvd. regarding the stabbing, Esqueda said.
East, who sustained a stab wound to the chest, was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Millsap is a transient known to frequent Westminster, Garden Grove and Anaheim, police said.
