A man was shot to death in Koreatown and police Tuesday are searching for the shooter.
The shooting victim was confirmed by family as Los Angeles rapper Half Ounce, Fox 11 is reporting. His wife, who is pregnant, was on the phone with him when she heard gunfire, according to Fox 11.
Officers from the Olympic Division of the Los Angeles Police Department responded to multiple shots fired calls at 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of South New Hampshire Avenue, LAPD Officer Drake Madison told City News Service.
Upon their arrival the officers found the victim in a planter outside an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds, Madison said.
The suspect is a man around 32 years old, who was dressed in dark clothing, and drove away in a dark SUV, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
