A man was shot to death Monday morning in the parking lot of a high school in Cerritos.
The shooting was reported at 1:53 a.m. at Artesia Boulevard and Studebaker Road, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Paramedics rushed the wounded man to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, sheriff’s officials said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were conducting a crime scene investigation and no further details were released, officials said.
A news videographer who went to the scene said the shooting was at Gahr High School and that deputies appeared to have detained four people.
