A grease fire in the kitchen of a McDonald’s restaurant in Los Angeles’ Mid-City neighborhood Monday evening was extinguished in 12 minutes by 20 firefighters.
The fire at the McDonald’s at 5930 Pico Blvd., near Fairfax Avenue, was reported at 7:58 p.m. and created a large amount of smoke, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters set up blowers to systematically force the smoke out the building and reintroduce fresh air into the restaurant, Prange said.
There were no injuries reported, Prange said.
