Firefighters extinguished a fire inside a detached garage Sunday in Sylmar.
The blaze burned the garage at 15707 Roxford St., and was reported at 5:33 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The department dispatched 18 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in 17 minutes, Stewart said. They kept flames from burning the house.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
