Orange County Fire Authority firefighters with an assist from Newport Beach and Costa Mesa fire departments knocked down a second-alarm commercial building fire in Irvine Sunday.

The blaze in the 19500 block of Jamboree Road was reported at 5:21 p.m., said OCFA Capt. Thanth Nguyen.

The departments sent a total of 50 firefighters to the scene, he said. The flames were extinguished at 6:09 p.m.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.

The blaze temporarily shut down northbound traffic on Jamboree from MacArthur Court to Birch Street, Nguyen said.
