A person was rushed to a hospital from a fiery two-vehicle crash Saturday on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in El Monte, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 5:05 a.m. on the eastbound freeway, just west of Santa Anita Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
It involved a semi-truck and a blue sedan, which caught fire, the CHP said.
A person who was trapped inside the blue sedan was rushed by paramedics to Greater El Monte Community Hospital. That person’s condition was not known.
A SigAlert was issued at 5:20 a.m. closing two of the far right lanes of the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway, near the Santa Anita Avenue exit. Motorists were advised to avoid the area or seek alternate routes.
