A man suspected of a brutal stabbing on a Metro bus was arrested Saturday in Silver Lake.
Los Angeles Police officers from the department’s Northeast Division were called at 1:36 a.m. to the 2700 block of West Sunset Boulevard near Benton Way regarding a person being stabbed. When they arrived, witnesses identified the suspect and officers saw him walking down the sidewalk, according to reports from the scene.
Video footage from KeyNews.TV showed police arresting the suspect near the scene and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel loading the victim into an ambulance, with a pool of blood in the well of the bus.
The victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
