A woman suffered a “significant” ankle injury while hiking in Tujunga Saturday, authorities said.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 9:25 a.m. to the Graveyard Truck Trail, east of Big Tujunga Canyon Road.
The woman was airlifted to a hospital, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. Her condition was not immediately known.
A rescue helicopter lowered a flight paramedic to assess and stabilize the woman, who was then hoisted with the paramedic into a hovering helicopter that transported her to a hospital.
