A man was killed Saturday when the vehicle he was driving overturned near an on-ramp of the San Diego (405) Freeway near Westwood.
The Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as 34-year-old Eric Carlson. His city of residence was not provided.
The crash was reported at 1:33 a.m. Saturday and California Highway Patrol officers were sent to the Wilshire Boulevard on-ramp of the southbound freeway, where they found Carlson and the overturned vehicle, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
A SigAlert issued at 2:03 a.m. closing the Wilshire Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway was canceled at 6:10 a.m.
