Glendale police Monday were investigating two unrelated stabbings that left four men injured.
The first crime occurred about 7:45 p.m. Sunday near San Rafael Avenue and Dryden Street, according to the Glendale Police Department.
Officers went to the location on a report of a fight in the street, police said.
“When they arrived on the scene, they discovered a total of three men in their 20s who were suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds,” police said in a statement. “The Glendale Police Department immediately dispatched its homicide investigators to the scene. Investigators, supported by the newly launched Real Time Intelligence Center, are actively working to identify potential leads and suspects.”
Reports from the scene suggested the altercation may have stemmed from a road rage dispute. NBC4 reported police were searching for a black car connected to the stabbing.
About a half hour after that stabbing, officers received a report of “a separate, completely unrelated, stabbing of an adult man,” according to Glendale police.
“The male suspect in this incident was asked to leave an establishment in the 100 block of West Windsor Road,” the police statement said. “When two other men inside confronted the suspect about leaving, the suspect brandished a knife and stabbed one of them. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. All parties were located at the scene and the suspect was arrested for charges related to the attack.”
The suspect’s name was not immediately released.
