A fire at a Sherman Oaks apartment complex damaged several vehicles and the windows at two units before firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department were able to extinguish the flames, one of at least three such blazes in the area, fire officials said Wednesday.

Firefighters responded at 10:32 p.m. Tuesday to 4721 Kester Ave., south of Camarillo Street, where they found and knocked down the flames, said LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

The Department of Water and Power was notified regarding damage that the electrical panels for the two exposed buildings sustained, Stewart added.

NBC 4 showed a Ring video with a possible suspect setting a fire in the carport,

The fire at the carport was one of three such fires that burned overnight, forcing fire crews to scramble to extinguish them.

No injuries were reported.
