The California Highway Patrol Friday issued a Silver Alert to help locate an 82-year-old man missing from Santa Monica.
Edmond Bartnett was last seen around noon Thursday at Third Street and Washington Avenue and was believed to be on foot, the CHP said.
He is described as white, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 230 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes, wearing a hat that reads “Veterans”, a blue sweater, blue pants and black shoes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP activates a Silver Alert to help speed the recovery of an elderly, developmentally or cognitively impaired person who is missing and determined to be at risk.
