A 16-year-old boy was shot to death and five men were also wounded by gunfire Sunday at a house party in Woodland Hills, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 5900 block Winnetka Avenue, a couple blocks north of the Ventura (101) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the suspect had been arguing with several people inside the house and as he was being escorted out by security, fired several shots into a crowd outside the party before fleeing.
The gunman fired several shots into the air before turning the gun on a crowd estimated at over 200 people, NBC4 reported, citing police.
The 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the wounded men to a hospital, where their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Police had no description of the suspect.
