Three men suspected of fatally stabbing a 31-year-old man following an argument in Santa Monica were in custody Thursday.
That stabbing occurred around 1:50 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Wilshire Boulevard, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Two men sustained stab wounds and were taken to a hospital, where one died and the other was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators later identified the victim who died at the hospital as Santa Maria resident Oscar Alfred Gonzalez.
“Following a comprehensive investigation, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division arrested two suspects on Monday, Feb. 17, and a third on Wednesday, Feb. 19,” police said in a statement.
The suspects were identified as 41-year-old Alfredo Quinteros and 42-year-old Ricardo Quinteros, brothers from South Gate, and 32-year-old Rogelio Arenas of Los Angeles.
Arenas and Alfredo were booked on suspicion of murder, while Ricardo was booked on suspicion of being an accessory, and all were being held without bail.
