A man was killed in a drive-by shooting in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
The shooting occurred at 7:52 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Stanford Avenue, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department Operations Center.
The victim was described as a man in his 20s or 30s and was pronounced dead at the scene, the officer said. The suspect was a male.
A news videographer at the scene said the victim was on the sidewalk next to a Volkswagen SUV.
