A man was fatally shot in La Puente and sheriff’s homicide detectives Tuesday are continuing their investigation of the shooting.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called at 9:35 p.m. Monday to the 900 block of Fickewirth Avenue between Loukelton Street and Amar Road, where they found the victim, said homicide Lt. Michael Mordica.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An earlier shooting Monday in the 500 block of Leverett Avenue in La Puente left another man dead, but it was not immediately known if the shootings were related.
