Authorities Monday publicly identified a man was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles.
Porfirio Guzman Perdomo, who was homeless, died on the sidewalk, according to the county medical examiner.
Officers dispatched at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday to a reported shooting in the area of Fifth and San Pedro streets located the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Arriving paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Additional details on detectives’ shooting investigation were not immediately available.
