A 30-year-old woman killed when she was struck by a vehicle in an unincorporated area bordering Hawthorne was identified Wednesday.
California Highway Patrol officers responded at 4:32 a.m. Saturday to 120th Street and Western Avenue in Athens where they found the victim, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
She was identified Wednesday by the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner as Kylee Mitchell.
