A pedestrian killed when she was struck by a vehicle in the Harbor Gateway neighborhood was publicly identified Friday.
Maria De Hernandez Pereria was 39 years old, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 9:45 p.m. Thursday to West 228th Street and Normandie Avenue where they found the pedestrian, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The pedestrian now identified as Pereria was pronounced dead at the scene.
