A 48-year-old man is in the hospital Saturday after two suspects shot him and fled on an electric scooter in Lincoln Heights.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division responded to reports of a shooting at 1:15 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Humboldt Street and Avenue 23. When they arrived, officers found the victim inside a Dodge Charger suffering from at least one gunshot wound, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Witnesses told police the suspect approached the victim and after the men began arguing, one of the suspects shot the man.
He was subsequently taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.
The suspects fled on the scooter in an unknown direction.
