No arrests were made and no injuries were reported after two street takeovers and at least one burglary in Bellflower and Lakewood Saturday morning, authorities said.
The first street takeover occurred at about 1:50 a.m. Saturday in the area of Artesia Boulevard and Woodruff Avenue in Bellflower, where a business was burglarized, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lakewood station.
The exact nature and location of the business was not provided.
The second street takeover occurred at about 2:15 a.m. in Lakewood, in the 2700 block of Del Amo Boulevard, he said. It was unclear if the two takeovers were related.
No businesses in that area were burglarized, he said.
According to KTLA5, however, seven businesses in the area were burglarized. The station reported that three businesses were hit at the corner of Artesia and Woodruff, and one store clerk was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The station published photos of damage at multiple businesses, including a convenience store, a beauty supply store and an auto repair shop.
At least four businesses were broken into at the Color Corner Shopping Center at the Lakewood location, KTLA5 added.
The LASD watch commander did not verify the additional burglaries reported by KTLA5, which cited a separate LASD spokesperson.
