A Silver Alert was activated Thursday on behalf of an at-risk 69-year-old man reported missing after being last seen in Palms.
Joaquin Solano was last seen near Vinton Avenue and Regent Street at around 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Solano was described as a 5-foot-4-inch tall man weighing 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was wearing a yellow baseball cap, a white shirt, brown shorts and sandals, according to the CHP.
Anyone with information regarding Solano’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
