A 63-year-old man described by authorities as “at-risk” and was the subject of a Silver Alert was found dead inside his car in Westchester Friday.
Rwechungula Anyabwile was found in the 7000 block of West 85th Street, adjacent to Westchester Park, inside a black 2017 Hyundai Sonata, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
It was unclear what caused Anyabwile’s death.
Anyabwile had last been seen around 6:40 p.m. June 22 near Jefferson Boulevard and Playa Vista Drive in Playa Vista, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the Silver Alert Monday on behalf of the LAPD.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
