The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Friday identified a 57-year-old suspect who was shot and killed after deputies confronted him in Hacienda Heights while investigating a report of a person with a knife and an assault.
Deputies from the sheriff’s Industry Station were called at approximately 4:08 p.m. Thursday to the 16000 block of Sigman Street and South Stimson Avenue east of William Steinmetz Park, where deputies encountered the suspect, said LASD homicide Lt. Daniel Vizcarra.
The man, later identified as Ramon Flores Jr. of Hacienda Heights, was shot by at least one deputy and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
