A 33-year-old man accused of assaulting a girl in Blythe has been arrested, authorities said Monday.
Erith Barrera of Blythe was arrested and booked into Blythe Jail on Saturday on suspicion of felony child endangerment, assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence, according to the Blythe Police Department.
His bail was set at $35,000.
Police said officers responded around 2:20 p.m. Saturday to a call regarding possible domestic violence in the 2200 block of W. Hobsonway.
Once officers arrived at the scene, They found a juvenile girl with facial injuries, and contacted the girl’s mother, “who had also been the victim of a domestic violence assault,” police said.
The circumstance and motive behind the alleged assault was not immediately clear.
Barrera was taken into custody without incident at a separate residence within the city.
