A woman in her 40s was struck and killed Saturday morning by a hit-and-run vehicle in Palmdale, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 4:13 a.m. Saturday in the area of 20th Street East and Avenue S, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale station.
It was unclear if the woman was struck in or outside a crosswalk, he said.
The vehicle was described as a brown, full-sized sedan.
Arriving paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
