A 42-year-old motorcyclist killed in a single-vehicle crash in Culver City was identified Tuesday.

The crash occurred at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the area of Washington Boulevard and Kensington Avenue, according to Culver City Police Department Public Information Officer Jennifer Atenza.

The victim was speeding eastbound on Washington Boulevard, where he lost control of the motorcycle and was knocked off, Atenza said.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified him Tuesday as Steven Long.

The street was re-opened to traffic at approximately 6:45 a.m. Sunday.

Anyone with additional information regarding the crash was urged to call the Culver City Police Department at 310-253-6202.
