A man was mortally wounded Thursday in a shooting in a Lakewood intersection that is under investigation by sheriff’s homicide detectives.
The shooting occurred at 2:37 p.m. Thursday at Lakewood Boulevard and South Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The man was rushed to a hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead, sheriff’s officials said.
A person of interest was detained, they said.
A news videographer who was at the scene told City News Service the victim and suspect were brothers.
