A woman found dead near the edge of a mountainside in Crestline was identified as a Newport Beach resident.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Coroner’s office, the woman was 58-year-old Aryan Papoli.
Papoli was reported missing in Newport Beach last month. The coroner’s office identified her on Saturday.
San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies from the Twin Peaks station were called just before 11:45 a.m. Nov. 18 to Highway 138 and Crestline Road regarding the body. The victim was found about 75 feet down an embankment.
The investigation into her death was continuing, but officials said her injuries appeared to be indicative of a fall.
