One man was killed and three others were injured Tuesday in a seven-vehicle crash that included an Orange County Probation Department car in Huntington Beach.

The crash occurred about 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Goldenwest Street and Heil Avenue, according to Huntington Beach Police Department spokeswoman Jessica Cuchilla.

A witness told CBS LA that the driver of a dark-colored sedan was traveling east on Heil Avenue at high speed, possibly topping 100 mph, and clipped another vehicle at the intersection. The car went airborne, ultimately landing on its roof about a half-mile east of the intersection, after hitting at least two other vehicles, she said.

The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, Cuchilla said. Three other victims of the crash were taken to hospitals and were expected to survive, she added.

Two of the victims were Orange County Probation Department officers, with one taken to a hospital, according to the Orange County Probation Department.
