A man and a woman have been arrested in the shooting death of a 57-year-old man in Moreno Valley last month, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Saturday.
Investigators identified 34-year-old Marquise Hall and 28-year-old Tyiesha Sweeney, both of Highland, as the suspects in the killing of Cesar Gaitan of Moreno Valley, the department said.
Both were arrested on Wednesday. Hall was arrested on suspicion of murder and Sweeney was arrested on suspicion of accessory to murder, the sheriff’s department announced.
On Nov. 27, deputies responded to the 13000 block of Heacock Street in Moreno Valley to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. They found Gaitan suffering from a gunshot wound and attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both Hall and Sweeney were being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
