An Ebony Alert was in effect Wednesday in Riverside County for a 12-year-old boy who was last seen in Eastvale.

Lewis Norman was last seen at approximately 4:17 p.m. Tuesday near Scholar Way and Orange Street, said the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Lewis is Black, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. Authorities said he was last seen wearing a black jacket, a white shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone who has seen Lewis or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.

Ebony Alerts are issued to help locate missing Black children, teenagers, and young adults ages 12 to 25 who have disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or who are at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired, or abducted.

To whom this may concern the person writing this column is for sure a racial person there is no need to singleout bye racism amber alert or Ebony alert dose it really matter?? it’s the same thing the focus is a child is missing color or what category this child falls in too is irrelevant the safety and well being is whats important doing everything possible to get him safely home!!!

  3. You must be joking. They have special searches for blacks now? Do they look harder or less hard? More manpower placed on these than other races, or less? Inquiring minds want to know.
