A crash involving a motorcycle killed one person and caused a significant traffic backup on the Artesia (91) Freeway in Bellflower Wednesday morning.
The crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV was reported about 7:30 a.m. on the eastbound Artesia (91) Freeway just west of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, a CHP officer confirmed.
The carpool and far left lane were closed for the emergency response and investigation, backing up traffic to the Long Beach (710) Freeway and SigAlert was issued.
