A 46-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in Compton was identified Wednesday.

Homicide detectives responded shortly before 10:45 a.m. Friday to the 200 block of South Locust Avenue, between Alondra and Compton boulevards, to conduct a death investigation, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Marco Gabrie, who sustained multiple sharp force injuries.

There was no information available regarding a possible motive or a suspect.
