Authorities Wednesday released the name of a 19-year-old woman who was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Lancaster.

The victim was identified as Lucille Henson, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner’s website.

Officers responded at 6:14 p.m. Monday to 170th Street East, north of Rawhide Avenue, to reports of a multi-vehicle collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials said a 2023 Ford was being driven north on 170th Street East but drifted into the southbound lanes for unknown reasons. The vehicle collided with a 2014 Ford, whose driver was ejected from the vehicle upon impact.

“After the initial impact, the 2014 Ford continued out of control and struck a southbound 2025 Toyota,” according to a CHP statement.

Henson, the driver of the 2014 Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two motorists sustained serious injuries and were both taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center.

CHP officials said the two people who survived the collision were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Alcohol or drug impairment were not believed to have contributed to the crash.

Anyone with information regarding the fatal collision was urged to contact the CHP Antelope Valley Area office at 661-743-6060. Calls after business hours or weekends should be directed to the Los Angeles Traffic Management Center at 323-259-3200.
