A 19-year-old man who was killed during a gang-related, drive-by shooting in the unincorporated South Whittier area was identified by county authorities Monday.

The shooting was reported at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 10000 block of Mills Avenue, near Mulberry Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was later identified as Adrian Coreno, whose place of residence was not immediately available, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
