A 29-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday after he was shot by an assailant in Van Nuys, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The shooting was reported around 11:33 p.m. Monday and officers from the department’s Mission Division responded to Kester Avenue and Raymer Street. When they arrived at the scene, the officers learned the suspect approached a tent where the victim was living and fired several shots into the tent, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
There was no suspect description, police said.
