A Long Beach Fire Department engine sustained minor damage Saturday when it was struck by a motorist who fled the scene.
The crash was reported about 10:10 a.m. Saturday on Long Beach Boulevard at 21st Street, where the fire engine was parked, Long Beach Police Department Sgt. Laurie Barajas told City News Service.
A description of the hit-and-run vehicle was not immediately available, Barajas said.
The suspect drove away in an unknown direction, she said.
An investigation was ongoing, she said.
