A man was critically wounded Monday in a shooting in the Westlake area of Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at about 1:20 a.m. at Wilshire Boulevard and Witmer Street, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The victim was described as a man about 30 years old and there was no suspect description, he said.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the victim to a hospital by ambulance where he was in critical condition, the officer said.
The investigation was ongoing.
