A 40-year-old woman who was fatally struck by a vehicle whose driver left the scene in the parking lot of a Panorama City shopping center was identified by the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office Monday.
Marlene Saravia-Bonilla was struck at about 4:55 a.m. Friday when an unidentified vehicle entering The Plant Shopping Center from Van Nuys Boulevard struck her, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the driver failed to stop and continued traveling eastbound through the shopping center.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
