A fire broke out Wednesday at a residence in Nuevo and left three people hospitalized, including a firefighter.
The blaze was reported shortly before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 31300 block of Marcuchio Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said crews encountered a garage fully involved in fire. A man and a woman were taken to a hospital, one with minor burns and the other with smoke inhalation.
Additionally, a firefighter suffered an unspecified medical emergency and was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
