A man believed in his 70s suffered burns in a Palmdale house fire, authorities said Friday.
The fire occurred at about 8:15 p.m. Thursday in the 38100 block of Desert Hawk Drive, according to Lt. Andrew Stowers of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
There were reports the man was in critical condition when he was taken by ambulance to the Antelope Valley Medical Center in Lancaster.
He stabilized to the point arrangements were underway to transfer the man to a hospital that specializes in burns, Stowers said.
The cause of the fire was possibly electrical and believed an accident although the investigation continued, he said.
