A 75-year-old man was who killed when he was struck by a vehicle while walking across a street in the Florence area of Los Angeles was identified Tuesday.
The crash was reported at 5:49 p.m. Sunday at San Pedro and 83rd streets, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The vehicle was going north on San Pedro Street when it struck the man who was moving westbound inside a crosswalk, he said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver remained at the scene.
The victim was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Estanislo Garcia.
