A suspect with a suspicious device refused to exit an East Hollywood building Tuesday morning, leading to an hours-long standoff with police, authorities said.
Officers responded at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday to the building in the 300 block of Juanita Avenue, near Beverly Boulevard and just south of the Hollywood (101) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The standoff continued about three hours later with a heavy presence of officers around the building.
