The shooting was reported at 10:10 p.m. Sunday in an alley to the rear of 950 W. 80th St., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man was found inside a tent and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A dog was found shot to death nearby, according to the LAPD.
