A man who ended up under a Metro B Line (Red Line) train in East Hollywood Wednesday morning was in critical condition when rescuers freed him and took him to a hospital.
It was not immediately clear how the man, thought to be about 40, ended up under the train around 11:10 a.m. Wednesday at 1015 N. Vermont Ave., at or near Metro’s Vermont/Sunset Station.
Los Angeles Fire Department and Metro personnel had to figure out how to get to the patient, who was in a relatively inaccessible area, according to LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
It took about 30 minutes to free the man, who was in critical condition when taken to a hospital, Stewart said.
