A driver died Friday after a single-vehicle collision in Palm Desert.
The crash was reported around 10 a.m. Friday in the area of Fred Waring Drive and Cook Street, according to Lt. Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies arrived at the scene and encountered a single-vehicle collision with major damage.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
It was unclear if any other vehicle occupants at the time of the collision.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
