A Silver Alert was activated Friday for a 78-year-old man last seen last month in East Los Angeles.
John Buckley was last seen at approximately 3 p.m. on Dec. 17, 2025, near North Rowan Avenue and First Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Buckley is white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. Authorities say he is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Buckley or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate searches for missing elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
